Preventing crimes and acts of terrorism

This section will contain articles and other materials of the project participants devoted to the topic – «General questions of forecasting, prevention and suppression of criminal and terrorist acts at an early stage».

Promising direction for researches:

At the present time researches, dedicated to development of new and modernization of existing systems and methods, which can significantly increase efficiency of counteraction to threats of criminal and terrorist nature, are actual enough and represent real practical interest for specialists of different level:

- analytics and forecasting;

- prevention and suppression;

- minimization of consequences.

Models can be developed at the level of an individual municipality or region, as well as an entire state or a large federal entity.

It is important to remember that when working on materials on this issue, authors can indicate social and other factors that, in their opinion, affect the existing or probable situation. They should not, however, give qualitative assessments or make judgments about the causes and nature of these social phenomena. This should be done by specialized specialists: sociologists, political scientists, etc. The task of our project is to examine the situation from the professional perspective, as specialists in law enforcement, public order and security, and the fight against terrorism and extremism.
